Starseed 3 is a classic arcade-style shoot 'em up in its purest form: armed with a limitless supply of bullets - and your wits and cunning - the aim is to destroy the waves of aliens and take out the reactors as you perform attack runs on massive dreadnoughts!
The game is divided into multiple stages, each comprising a myriad of attack waves. Each stage is set on a different dreadnought and features a varied array of enemy types.
That's it. Go play.
Each stage in Starseed 3 has two phases:
Note: The number of attack waves and reactors remaining are displayed at the bottom of the screen.
You start the game with three reserve ships. After losing a life, your new ship is temporarily invincible for a few seconds.
Starseed 3 features a diverse array of enemy types, each with its own personality, behaviours, and firing patterns. Learning the attack strategy of each enemy will serve you well and help you to pinpoint which enemies to tackle first. Look out for flaming asteroids, too!
Starseed 3 features numerous power-ups designed to temporarily turn the odds in your favour, including firepower upgrades, temporary invincibility, smart bombs, and extra lives.
The Stage Select screen shows the stages which have been previously unlocked, along with your high score for each one.
Pressing the START button during the game will pause the action. From here, you can push UP or DOWN on the Dpad to choose RESUME GAME or QUIT TO MENU. Press the A button to choose an option, or press the B button to exit the menu.
